And earlier this year, the French city of St. Denis named a street in his honor.

Unfortunately, instead of working on anything of actual importance related to the Abu-Jamal case (like, say, looking into "the violation of minimum international standards that govern fair trial procedures and use of the death penalty" that Amnesty International contends occured at his trial), the current lame-duck Congress passed a resolution, 368 to 31, condemning St. Denis and urging the government of France to intervene.
